Call Out for Girls Who Can Skateboard

  • 18 Feb 2016

WE ARE SEARCHING FOR UP TO FOUR FEMALE SKATEBOARDERS AGED 7-14 to be part of a performance project involving dance and skateboarding. This is an opportunity to be part of TINY SLOPES, a collaborative dance project with a high level artistic outcome working with professional artists.

The project is based in Melbourne.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A ROLE, YOU MUST:

•be aged between 7 and 14
•have your own skateboard and protective gear
•be confident with skateboarding, and interested in flatland skating
•be interested in performance / art / dance (but you don’t necessarily need experience in these things)
•be available on April 4 for initial workshop/audition
•be available, if selected, to continue participation on April 6, 7, 8.

These workshop sessions will lead into a future rehearsal process spread across late 2016 and early 2017, followed by a professional (paid) performance season early 2017.

More details about the project can be found here

and some video of previous rehearsals is here

To find out specific workshop times, register your interest, or ask questions, contact director / choreographer
